Adult ADHD

Typically, people don’t simply “grow out” of an attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Instead, people either develop coping patterns or often the disorder evolves into a disruptive pattern of dysfunction during adulthood.  All too often, children with a normal exuberance of childhood are over-diagnosed with ADHD, while the predominantly inattentive child is under-diagnosed with ADHD and labeled as a daydreamer, lazy, and an underachiever.  These children often mature into adults who battle with self-esteem issues, anxiety, depression, anger outbursts, and a chronic feeling of not living up to their potential.
