Dementia

Are you or a loved one experiencing disruptions in daily life due to memory loss?

Cognitive Decline

Dementia is normally recognized by a progressive cognitive decline of a relatively normal person beyond what would be expected from typical aging.  Dementia usually progresses slowly, as in the case of Alzheimer’s Dementia, but at times a person’s cognitive abilities, memory, language skills, and problem solving ability can deteriorate suddenly and drastically from direct brain injury such as a stroke or a multiple concussions.

Tailored Treatment

It is important to differentiate dementia from normal aging.  Once a diagnosis of dementia is established, the exact type of dementia process must be diagnosed in order to tailor an individualized treatment.  We provide supportive treatment of dementia for individuals and their loved ones that can include individual therapy, family therapy, and medication.
